The request is placed in the same managed worker queue used by authenticated website crawls. The page shows queued, running, retrying, completed, or failed state. Progress is saved, so the result link can be refreshed or reopened while the scan runs.
What is measured
- Visible writing includes spelling, grammar, punctuation, the text found, a suggested correction, confidence, and source page.
- Links separates confirmed broken targets from blocked or uncertain targets. It records the source page, destination, HTTP evidence, and recommended action.
- Core SEO includes measured titles, descriptions, headings, canonical URLs, schema, indexability, image alternatives, and content depth for the checked pages.
The free scan checks a bounded sample, not every page on a large website. 0 means a completed scan measured no findings in that category. Not measured means the required evidence was unavailable; it is never replaced with an estimate.
Read the result
Overview summarizes the measured Health Score, pages checked, issue count, spelling, grammar, and broken links. Issues shows the source page, observed text, and correction. Pages shows HTTP status, title, words, and response time. Links shows broken, blocked, and uncertain targets. Delivery shows whether the PDF email was queued.
PDF and email
View and Download PDF opens the report produced from the same stored evidence. Completion queues that PDF to the email entered in the form and the configured Him First or agency recipients. The token-protected result and PDF links expire after 30 days.
Privacy and scanner safety
The scanner accepts only public HTTP or HTTPS websites on standard ports. It blocks local or private network addresses, credentials in URLs, unsafe redirects, oversized responses, and repeated abusive requests. It does not log into the submitted website or edit it. The submitted contact details are retained as an Analytics & Beyond lead so staff can follow up on the requested report.
If a scan fails
The worker retries temporary crawler failures automatically. A final failure normally means the website could not be reached, blocked automated checks, returned unsafe redirects, or exceeded a safety limit. Confirm that the URL is public and correct, then start a new scan. Contact Support when a public website repeatedly fails.
