Understand technical and on-page SEO results

Updated August 5, 2026

Open SEO Audit, run a Website Crawl, and select Technical SEO. Every row shows a status, measured result, explanation, provider, timestamp, and expandable evidence. Unavailable means the required crawl or live provider did not return verifiable data. Analytics & Beyond does not replace a failed provider with an estimated score.

Page metadata and structure

  • Page titles checks missing, unusually short or long, and repeated titles.
  • Meta descriptions checks missing, unusually short or long, and repeated search descriptions.
  • Heading structure checks for one H1 and an ordered H1-H6 outline.
  • Canonicalization checks whether crawled pages declare their preferred URL.
  • Indexability reports measured robots meta directives and lists pages marked noindex for review.
  • Hreflang validates language codes and alternate URLs when a site uses them.

Discovery and structured data

  • Sitemap coverage shows sitemap files successfully fetched during the crawl and how many same-host URLs they listed.
  • Structured data parses JSON-LD, reports invalid JSON, lists schema types, and counts Microdata or RDFa.
  • AI crawler access summarizes explicit robots.txt groups for GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, Google-Extended, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and Bytespider. Unspecified means no matching rule was found; it is not a promise of permission or access.

Content and sharing checks

  • Duplicate content compares normalized visible text for exact matches and bounded MinHash signatures for near matches. Repeated titles and descriptions are reported separately in their own evidence.
  • Thin content identifies crawled pages with fewer than 150 visible words so a person can decide whether the page answers its purpose.
  • Image alt text counts image elements without an intentional alt attribute.
  • Open Graph checks og:title, og:description, og:url, and og:image for share previews.

Live external measurements

Uptime response is the actual HTTP response and duration measured during the crawl, not a historical uptime percentage. Core Web Vitals appears only from a completed Google PageSpeed or DataForSEO Lighthouse result. Competition data appears only when both the brand and saved competitor have real DataForSEO authority measurements. Missing credentials, rate limits, or provider failures remain Unavailable.

How to use the results

Fix Fail items first, then Warning items that affect important pages. A Pass means the measured rule passed for this crawl; it is not a guarantee of rankings. Open View evidence before changing the client site so the source, time, and recorded counts are clear.
